Mary Ann Fraser Decorative Painting

About the Artist

Picture
Mary Ann Fraser first discovered the magic of paint when she was three and has been painting and drawing ever since. Following a degree in fine art from UCLA and post-graduate work in Europe, she pursued a career in commercial illustration as well as in children's books. Eventually she moved onto even larger projects--namely walls.

When it comes to children's rooms, Mary Ann draws on over twenty years of experience as an award-winning children's book author and illustrator, to create art that is at once fanciful, whimsical, and innovative. Her ability to  imitate natural materials allows her to produce amazing  trompe l'oeil and faux effects with  often magical results on the most ordinary of surfaces.

Mary Ann finds she is most inspired by materials found in nature, a love for the outdoors and gardening, and her world travels. She continues to explore new painting techniques and materials while keeping in mind classic methods and traditions. She prides herself on delivering the finest quality work with the utmost professionalism. Reliability, punctuality, and a desire to satisfy even her most discerning clientele are her trademarks.
